Travis Tritt brings decades of country hits back to Florence this spring

Florence, South Carolina – Travis Tritt will be returning in Florence, bringing decades of country music tradition back to the Pee Dee area, Florence Center confirmed in a release sent to the Florence News Journal. The artist who has won multiple Grammy Awards will perform at the Florence Center on Friday, April 24. The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. Big Spring Entertainment is putting up the concert. Tritt continues to draw big crowds and has a busy touring schedule more than 35 years after he started his career. He is known for combining Southern rock, blues, and gospel with traditional country music. He has been a regular performer on venues around the country, playing for both old and new fans.

Tritt’s journey to fame started in the late 1980s following years of working on his sound in honky-tonks. His agreement with Warner Bros. Records in 1989 was the start of a busy decade that saw him release seven studio albums and a greatest hits album.

His first album, Country Club, helped him become part of the important “Class of ’89,” which included performers that helped start the country music boom in the early 1990s. Several of his early singles reached the top of the country charts and won him major industry accolades for his big accomplishment.

His next album, It’s All About to Change, was a turning point for him. It sold millions of copies and had several hits that reached the top five. As time went on, Tritt’s album collection grew to include many platinum-certified records. This helped him sell more than 30 million albums around the world and win multiple Grammy and CMA awards.

Tritt is known for being a great live performer as well as a successful studio artist. He has played at major athletic events and famous locations. He has kept putting out new music over the past few years, including a full-length studio album in 2022 and a gospel effort based on his Southern background in 2023.

Fans can look forward to a night of real, Southern-influenced country music that has defined Travis Tritt’s long career now that his Florence trip is on the calendar.
