Renowned Florida executive search company Winner Partners to lead hunt for Myrtle Beach Chamber’s next leader

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina – The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) and Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has officially chosen Winner Partners, a highly regarded executive search firm, to spearhead the hunt for its next President and CEO.  The decision follows a rigorous selection process under the direction of a 10-member executive search committee consisting of eminent business and community leaders from all across the Grand Strand.

Winner Partners, headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, with offices nationwide, was selected after the chamber issued a request for proposal (RFP) in September. Under the direction of former HTC CEO Mike Hagg, the committee carefully evaluated many applicants before deciding on Winner Partners, citing their great experience and proven ability to attract top-notch leadership for companies in like sectors.

“Our selection of Winner Partners reflects our dedication to finding a dynamic leader who understands the unique needs and goals of the Grand Strand community. Our committee found that they possess the proven track record needed for recruiting stellar leadership at organizations like the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber and CVB, and we’re confident they’ll locate candidates who embody the skills, values and vision to advance the Chamber’s impact locally and nationally,” Hagg said.

Strong backgrounds in hospitality, tourism, marketing, advertising, or past experience in chambers of commerce or convention and visitors bureaus are sought for applicants by the MBACC and CVB. The efforts of Winner Partners will center on selecting a leader who reflects the ideals and vision required to meet the dynamic expansion and changing demands of the Myrtle Beach area.

Overseeing the Chamber’s efforts to market Myrtle Beach as a top destination and increasing its impact on a local, state, and national level, the incoming President and CEO will be playing a vital role. For the Chamber, which has long been leading front-first in promoting economic development and community growth throughout the entire region, this leadership change signals a significant turning point.
