Participants of all ages will have the opportunity to get to work cleaning garbage in specific parts of Florence. Everyone is encouraged to help with the cleanup, regardless of their affiliation—that of a school, company, or just someone wishing to change things. The project seeks to not only enhance the surroundings of the city but also encourage long-term practices promoting a better, greener community.

A day full of celebration

Following a fulfilling morning of service, volunteers and guests can visit the City Center Farmers Market for an Earth Day-themed celebration full of interesting activities. While Farm 2 School officials are going to emphasize their work in matching children with sustainable, healthful food, market merchants will highlight fresh, locally grown goods.

Visitors can also enjoy educational exhibits focused on environmental conservation, interactive sustainability activities, and delicious vegan-friendly food options.

More than just a clean-up, this event is designed to spark awareness about the impact of litter and the importance of sustainability. Organizers want to demonstrate how little deeds—such as cleaning trash, helping nearby farms, or choosing environmentally sustainable living—can lead to long-lasting impact.
