Myrtle Beach, South Carolina – Veterans in South Carolina’s Seventh Congressional District are invited to a special event to recognize their service and connect them with helpful resources. Congressman Russell Fry said in a release that he will hold a Veterans Resource and Appreciation Day in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
The Grand Strand Conference Center, which is on the campus of Horry-Georgetown Technical College at 950 Crabtree Lane, will host the event from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It is open to all veterans in the area and will give them immediate access to a variety of programs and chances to get one-on-one help.
Veterans who go to the event will be able to talk to people from a number of organizations that help veterans, including federal and state agencies. These groups will help with things like VA health care, education benefits, caregiver support, and filing disability claims. The idea is to make it easier for veterans to get the help they need and make sure they know about all the advantages they can get.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Columbia Regional Office, the South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs (SCDVA), Horry County Veterans Affairs, and Vet Centers from Myrtle Beach and Columbia are just a few of the important groups that will be there. People from the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center and the WM. Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center will also be there to help those who come.

Congressman Fry emphasized the importance of events like this, stating that connecting veterans with the support they’ve earned is a top priority. His office will also be there to help with casework and answer any concerns you have about the district.
