Each $12 plate will include Roger’s BBQ, rice and red gravy, sweet potato souffle, cole slaw, hush puppies and banana pudding. The meal brings together a familiar Southern-style menu with a larger purpose behind every plate sold.

For the Foster Care Clothing Closet, the fundraiser is about more than lunch. It is another opportunity to continue the work the organization has carried forward with help from the community over the years. The group provides support to foster families who open their hearts and homes to children who need safety, care and a stronger sense of belonging.

“We want to THANK YOU ALL for the support you have given us over the years at the Foster Care Clothing Closet as we provide support to the foster families that open their hearts and homes to foster children needing to feel safe, valued, and a sense of belonging!” organizers said.

The BBQ fundraiser gives local residents, schools, families and businesses a chance to contribute in a direct and practical way. Whether people order one plate, collect several orders for a workplace or arrange delivery for a group, each purchase helps strengthen the mission behind the Foster Care Clothing Closet.

As May 12 approaches, organizers are asking the community to keep the date in mind and take part in the fundraiser. With plates served, deliveries planned and drive-thru service available, the afternoon is set to bring people together around food, kindness and support for foster children and the families who care for them.

The address is 2004 2ND LOOP RD, FLORENCE, SC 29501.
