Lindsey Graham brutally roasted on Charlie Kirk Show as “Neocon Warmonger” while Graham’s primary challengers ‘smell blood’

South Carolina – Political turbulence appears to be intensifying around longtime South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham as criticism from across the conservative movement collides with troubling new polling numbers that suggest his standing among voters may be weakening ahead of the next election cycle.

The latest wave of scrutiny unfolded on a broadcast of The Charlie Kirk Show, where hosts Blake Neff and Andrew Kolvet devoted a segment to Graham’s growing list of Republican primary challengers.

During the program, the hosts welcomed two of those challengers, Paul Davis and Mark Lynch, who used the appearance to argue that the veteran senator has drifted far from the priorities of many conservative voters.

Throughout the conversation, Graham was repeatedly described as a “neocon warmonger,” a label often used by critics who oppose aggressive U.S. military involvement overseas.

Kolvet referenced earlier remarks from Charlie Kirk himself, who has previously criticized neoconservative figures who, in his words, “want to spend our money to bomb faraway lands.”

The hosts also invoked Kirk’s past nickname for the senator, underscoring the long-running friction between segments of the populist right and Graham’s hawkish foreign policy stance.

Davis used the platform to portray himself as a loyal supporter of former President Donald Trump, noting his service during Trump’s first administration. He argued that the political climate in South Carolina has shifted sharply against Graham and suggested the senator’s support has already fallen below the critical threshold needed to survive the state’s runoff system.

According to Davis, the path to defeating the incumbent is becoming increasingly realistic as conservative voters search for an alternative candidate.

Lynch echoed that message, focusing his criticism on Graham’s approach to foreign policy. He accused the senator of prioritizing overseas military action while pledging that South Carolina families should not have to see their children sent into new conflicts abroad.

Lynch also pointed to polling data suggesting a significant portion of voters may already be looking for new leadership.

That polling data is now adding further pressure. A statewide survey conducted by Impact Research found that 61 percent of likely South Carolina voters hold an unfavorable view of Graham, while only 34 percent expressed a favorable opinion of the senator.

The poll also found that 57 percent of respondents said they would prefer to vote for someone else in the next election, while just 32 percent indicated they would definitely or probably support Graham’s re-election.

The survey, conducted between Feb. 25 and March 1 among 700 likely voters, carries a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points. While polling snapshots can fluctuate, the numbers suggest that Graham may be entering a difficult stretch politically as the 2026 election cycle slowly comes into focus.

The growing criticism has been amplified by a broader national debate over U.S. foreign policy after Graham made forceful remarks about tensions involving Iran and the United States’ alliance with Israel.

During a recent appearance on Fox News host Sean Hannity’s program, the senator reiterated his longstanding support for maintaining strong military pressure on the Iranian regime while reaffirming his backing for Israel.

Those comments quickly ignited backlash online and on television, with critics questioning whether the senator’s rhetoric signaled support for deeper U.S. involvement in a widening regional conflict.

Among the most outspoken responses came from commentator Megyn Kelly during an episode of The Megyn Kelly Show. Kelly sharply condemned Graham’s remarks, arguing that his tone suggested a willingness to push the United States toward further military escalation in the Middle East.

At one point during her broadcast, Kelly accused Graham of speaking as though he were directing foreign policy himself. She also criticized the interview format on Hannity’s program, saying the senator faced little resistance as he outlined his views on the situation.

The clash highlights a widening divide within conservative circles over foreign policy and America’s role in global conflicts. While some Republicans continue to support Graham’s long-standing hawkish stance, others, particularly within populist and anti-interventionist wings of the party—have grown increasingly vocal in opposing military entanglements overseas.

As the political storm continues to build, Graham now finds himself navigating criticism not only from political opponents but also from influential voices within the broader conservative movement. With polling numbers shifting and primary challengers gaining platforms to make their case, the coming months could reveal whether the senator’s decades-long hold on South Carolina politics remains secure or faces a serious test.
