Florence Symphony Orchestra blends rock legends and orchestral power in upcoming live performance

Florence, South Carolina – An evening of symphonic force and rock nostalgia is set to take shape as the Florence Symphony Orchestra prepares a performance built on energy, familiarity, and crowd-pleasing sound.

The program blends the richness of a full orchestra with well-known songs tied to legendary names such as Led Zeppelin, U2, Elton John, and Fleetwood Mac.

At the center of the event is guitarist Mike Keneally, widely recognized for his work with Frank Zappa. He will be joined by vocalist Jim Stapley and featured performers including Fran Coleman and Brandon Goff.

Guiding the night is conductor Terry Roberts, who will lead the orchestra through a program designed to fuse the sweep of classical performance with the drive of rock music.

The concert is meant to be more than a night of entertainment. It also serves an important purpose for the Florence Symphony Orchestra, helping support the organization’s broader work throughout the Pee Dee. Proceeds from the event help sustain not only concerts, but also educational efforts and community outreach programs that extend the symphony’s presence well beyond the stage.

For those looking to make the evening a fuller experience, VIP tickets include access to a catered reception before the performance in the upstairs lobby of the PAC.

Organizers also said package specials are available by phone.

With celebrated guest artists, a full orchestra, and a lineup built from iconic songs, the event promises a mix of spectacle and purpose.

It is a performance designed to stir memories, fill the hall with familiar melodies, and at the same time help secure the future of the symphony’s work in the region.
