Florence, South Carolina – The Florence Police Department is excited to invite everyone at the upcoming Unity in the Community Event, which is designed to strengthen the relationship between police and the people they serve. This event, which is set for April 20, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is meant to bring people together and help them get to know each other better. The event will take place on the 300 Block of West Evans Street, and it seems to be a fun day full of community energy and meeting new people.
Hanging out with local police officers and building friendly relation
Unity in the Community Even is a project that aims to improve the relationship between the people in the neighborhood and the police. Participants can expect to work with a number of local service-based groups, include the opportunity to connect, and find out more about the Florence Police Department’s (FPD) community outreach programs.
This year, a lot of great groups are going to the event, like All 4 Autism, Circle Park Behavioral Health, Lighthouse Ministries, the City of Florence Recreation and Community Services Dept., and many more. These collaborations underline the event’s inclusive nature and the shared goal of supporting and uplifting the Florence community.
There will be food, drinks and gifts for attendees
Attendees will not only have the chance to meet these organizations, but also win door gifts from nearby stores like Kosmic Sole, Bath and Body Works, Palmetto Moon, Paramount Jewelers, and Pro Image. These contributions add an extra layer of excitement to the day’s activities.
