Florence County investigators turn to community in search for Eva Patrice McCrea wanted in criminal sexual conduct case

Florence County, South Carolina – Florence County authorities are asking the public to help locate a woman wanted in connection with a Criminal Sexual Conduct With a Minor case.

According to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, investigators are searching for Eva Patrice McCrea, 45, of 102 West Vista Street in Florence, South Carolina. McCrea is currently the subject of a General Sessions Bench Warrant, officials said earlier this week.

The sheriff’s office released McCrea’s photograph as part of the public request for assistance and is encouraging anyone who may know where she is to come forward. Investigators have not asked residents to approach her directly. Instead, anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact law enforcement.

Those who know anything that could help the investigation can call Florence County Sheriff’s Office investigators at (843) 665-2121, extension 6. Tips can also be submitted through the “Submit-A-Tip” feature on the free FCSO app, available for Apple and Android devices.

Authorities said people who provide information do not have to identify themselves. That option is also available through Crime Stoppers of the Pee Dee, which accepts anonymous tips by phone at 1-888-CRIME-SC.

Information submitted through Crime Stoppers could also lead to a cash reward. According to the notice, tips that help lead to the arrest of an individual involved in a crime may qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.

The request places the focus on community awareness, a tool often used by investigators when a wanted person has not yet been located. In this case, the sheriff’s office is turning to residents, neighbors, and anyone who may have seen McCrea or heard information about where she could be.

The case remains active, and investigators are asking anyone with useful information, no matter how small it may seem, to report it through one of the available tip lines. Officials emphasized that information can be shared anonymously, giving members of the public a way to assist without revealing their identity.
