City of Columbia to host on-the-spot interviews and immediate hiring opportunities at career expo later this month

Columbia, South Carolina – From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on April 22, 2025, the City of Columbia will hold its 4th annual career fair at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, located at 1101 Lincoln Street. Job seekers may interact directly with officials from several city departments at this event and explore a broad spectrum of employment possibilities inside the local administration.

Departments with urgent job openings will be there to do on-the-spot interviews during this one-day event, and in certain situations, offer jobs to qualified individuals right away. This proactive strategy not only accelerates the hiring process but also enables participants to leave with job in hand.

Departments without current employment will also engage for those seeking future possibilities. They will give a greater understanding of the roles that they serve inside the local administration by providing insights into their daily activities and influence on the community. These officials will also clarify how interested applicants may remain updated on forthcoming vacancies and apply as jobs open.
