ATG announces $6.2 million investment with new Florence County headquarters, set to open in late 2024 and generate 77 new jobs

Florence County, South Carolina – Asset Technology Group, Inc. (ATG) announced its intentions to expand and move its headquarters to Florence County, a move that will further strengthen the local economy. With a projected investment of $6.2 million and the generation of 77 new jobs, this decision marks a major turning point in the company’s development.

Originally opened in nearby Darlington County in 2005, ATG has been well-known for offering strong IT solutions and infrastructure solutions primarily to local governments and small and medium-sized companies. Their services range from the installation and configuration to maintenance of essential IT systems.

Located at 901 Second Loop Road in Florence, the new headquarters of the company will occupy 8,500 square feet. This development is considered as a strategic move to take advantage of the expanding tech scene in South Carolina, as the headquarters projected to be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2024.

Bill Lynch, CEO of Asset Technology Group, Inc., expressed his enthusiasm about the expansion.

“We are thrilled to announce the move of our headquarters to Florence, South Carolina with the acquisition of an 8,500-square-foot facility on Second Loop Road,” said Lynch. ” This move represents a significant milestone for Asset Technology Group as we continue to grow and innovate. We are deeply appreciative of the support from the South Carolina Department of Commerce and Florence County, whose assistance has been instrumental in creating this economic opportunity.”

The relocation has garnered praise and support from state and local officials. Governor Henry McMaster commented, “Congratulations to Asset Technology Group on its expansion into Florence County. It is always encouraging when a homegrown company expands in our state, and we look forward to watching Asset Technology Group continue to thrive in South Carolina for many years to come.”

Adding to the governor’s comments, Harry M. Lightsey III, Secretary of Commerce, noted, “South Carolina’s technology industry continues to have great success, and today’s announcement by Asset Technology Group is yet another example of that. We congratulate the company on this expansion and are proud to support ATG’s growth in Florence County.”

The move has also been welcomed by local government officials, emphasizing the job creation and economic stimulation it will bring.

William Schofield, Chairman of the Florence County Council, stated, “Florence County Council is excited to welcome Asset Technology Group, Inc.’s new headquarters to Florence County. This investment affirms our commitment to value job creation throughout Florence County, and we are excited for the 77 new technology-oriented jobs that will be created as a result of ATG’s commitment to Florence County.”

To guarantee that the facility will satisfy the demands of the growing company, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has also granted a $50,000 Set-Aid grant to help with building enhancements.
