Florence prepares for a flavor filled weekend as food truck festival rolls back into town on May 1-2

Florence, South Carolina – A spring staple in Florence is making its way back to the Florence Center, promising two days packed with food, community spirit, and plenty to keep families busy.

The Florence Food Truck Festival is set for Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, bringing a mix of flavors, activities, and entertainment to 3300 W. Radio Drive in Florence.

The event, hosted by the Florence Center, is open to the public and free to attend. Festivities begin Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., then continue Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Across both days, visitors can expect more than 20 food trucks serving a broad range of eats, giving guests plenty of choices as they make their way around the festival grounds.

Organizers are also planning more than just food. A kids area will offer family-friendly fun, while seating areas will give people a chance to slow down, relax, and enjoy their meals.

Non-food vendors will also be part of the event, adding another layer to the weekend gathering. Live performances are also planned, though organizers say those details are still to be announced.

One detail likely to stand out for many attendees is that the festival is pet-friendly, allowing guests to bring their furry companions along for the celebration.

That added touch could make the weekend even more appealing for families and pet owners looking for an outdoor-style community event with something for everyone.

Entry for the car show is $25. Those seeking more information about that portion of the event are asked to call Tom Spence at 843-773-0189.

The Florence Center is promoting the festival as two days full of flavor, fun, and family-friendly activities, and more event details are expected to be released soon.
