City officials say the session aims to provide prospective buyers, especially those navigating the process for the first time, with useful knowledge that can help them make informed decisions as they pursue homeownership.

The workshop will cover several key topics connected to financial readiness and credit management. Participants will learn about fair credit practices and how credit history can influence a person’s ability to secure a mortgage.

Organizers will also explain how credit scores can affect home buying options and what steps individuals can take to strengthen their financial standing before entering the housing market.

In addition, the session will explore strategies for improving and maintaining healthy credit over time. Understanding these factors can play a critical role in determining loan eligibility, interest rates, and overall affordability when purchasing a home.

By breaking down these topics into clear and accessible guidance, the city hopes to equip attendees with tools that can support long-term financial stability.

City leaders say programs like this workshop are part of broader efforts to provide residents with resources that promote sustainable homeownership. Buying a home often represents one of the most significant financial decisions a person can make, and access to reliable information can help potential buyers move forward with greater confidence.
