Columbia, South Carolina – In South Carolina, the Department of Education is encouraging adults who didn’t graduate high school to go back to school.
Recently, they launched the GED incentive initiative. This program is a collaboration involving the Education Department, the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, and the state Education Department’s Office of Adult Education.

The officials have mentioned that the program was enhanced last year. Now, it awards $500 to individuals who successfully achieve their GED.
Moreover, the program has been broadened. It now includes an extra $500 for those who complete brief vocational training courses at the technical colleges across the state.
