Ex-South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley uses Trump’s very own weapon against him

South Carolina – Former South Carolina Gov. and now candidate for U.S. president, Nikki Haley, has commented that Donald Trump’s mental sharpness seems to be fading compared to how he was in 2016.

Haley now attacks Trump with the weapon he once used to attack Joe Biden

Nikki Haley, who was once the Governor of South Carolina, has commented that Donald Trump's mental sharpness seems to be fading

During an interview on CBS’s show “Face the Nation” with host Margaret Brennan, Haley, who worked with Trump as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, was questioned about Trump’s mental state. Brennan was curious if Haley noticed any changes in Trump’s mental capabilities during her time in his cabinet.

Haley pointed out several recent incidents to support her view. She mentioned Trump incorrectly stating that Joe Biden might lead us into World War II, though she guessed he meant World War III. She also brought up an instance where Trump mistakenly claimed he competed against President Obama in an election, which never happened.

“If you look, recently, there have been multiple things. I mean, he’s claimed that Joe Biden was going to get us into World War II. I’m assuming he met World War three. He said that he ran against President Obama. He never ran against President Obama. He says that I’m the one that kept security from Jan- from the Capitol on January 6. I was nowhere near the Capitol on January 6,” Haley said.

“But Margaret, you don’t be surprised if you have someone that’s 80 in office, their mental stability is going to continue to decline. That’s just human nature. We know that,” Haley continued. “Are we really going to go into a situation where we have wars around the world, and we’re trying to prevent war, and we’re going to have someone who we can or can’t be sure that they’re going to get confused?”

Nikki Haley claims Trump is not on the same level he was in 2016 when she was part of his team

Haley went on to say that when she served in Trump’s Cabinet, she repeatedly let him know if she thought what he was doing was wrong.

“He’s just not at the same level he was at 2016, and I think we’re seeing some of that decline,” she said.

Nikki Haley is gathering support in New Hampshire and South Carolina after finishing third in the Iowa caucuses earlier in the month. In those caucuses, Trump emerged as the clear winner, leading significantly over all candidates, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who came in second.

Haley has been suggesting that the low voter numbers in Iowa were due to the extremely cold weather, as temperatures dropped below zero on the day of the election.

Speaking to the press on Friday, Haley highlighted the situation in Iowa. She pointed out that Trump won in a state with three million people by securing only 56,000 votes, emphasizing the low participation. She expressed confidence in achieving better voter turnout in New Hampshire.

Meanwhile, Trump, at a rally in New Hampshire over the weekend, asserted his mental fitness, claiming it is better than it has ever been.

“I don’t mind being 80, but I’m 77, that’s a big difference,” he said. “I feel my mind is stronger now than it was 25 years ago.
