Delta Children’s Products set to invest more than $33 million in South Carolina, to open 123 job positions

Orangeburg County, South Carolina – Delta Children’s Products (Delta Children), a company that makes children’s furniture, is set to spend $33.1 million on a new manufacturing and distribution center in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. This project is expected to generate 123 new jobs. The new facility will be 400,000 square feet and located on Millennium Drive in Orangeburg, with plans to start operations in 2026.

Established in 1968, Delta Children specializes in creating and selling innovative furniture for kids. Their product lineup includes items for babies, young children, and tweens, such as cribs, dressers, bassinets, strollers, toddler beds, and room decorations. Additionally, the company produces mattresses for infants to full-sized beds under its own brand and others like Serta and Simmons. They also have products featuring Disney and Jeep brands. Delta Children’s goods are available across a range of big retail stores and local shops throughout the country.

The South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits for this initiative and granted Orangeburg County a $300,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant to help cover the costs of the facility’s building improvements.

The project was confirmed by South Carolina officials earlier this month

“Orangeburg County welcomes Delta Children, a leading manufacturer in children’s furniture, as a testament to our community’s economic potential. I am grateful for the positive impact this partnership will have on our community. This strategic move not only fortifies Orangeburg County’s position as an attractive business destination but also reflects our commitment to fostering economic growth and prosperity for our residents,” said Orangeburg County Council Chairman Johnnie Wright.

“We at Delta Children are excited about this new project in South Carolina. This will help us bring manufacturing jobs back to the USA and allow our company to grow into new categories. We appreciate how the state and county have come together to make this possible,” Delta Children’s Products officials said.
