Two juveniles taken into custody for February 24th shooting in Florence County

Florence, South Carolina – Two young men have been arrested in connection with an event that shook the city on February 24th. The Florence County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), announced the arrest of these individuals earlier today.

The shooting incident, that happened on Charles Street, resulted in one pregnant victim losing her baby just few days after the incident.

The teens were found in Florence County and were arrested without any problems. After being caught, the 16-year-olds were sent to the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) to wait for their hearing. Each of the juvenile suspects is now facing four counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

The Florence County Sheriff’s Office wants to thank people in the community who came forward with important information that helped with the case. This willingness to work together between the people and the police is very important for keeping our neighborhoods safe and secure.

Furthermore, the Sheriff’s Office has also acknowledged the vital role played by their law enforcement partners, whose support was instrumental in the successful apprehension of the suspects.
