Virtus Academy celebrates opening of new Upper School facilities with ribbon-cutting in Florence

Florence, South Carolina – Virtus Academy staff, teachers convened in Florence to celebrate the opening of its new Upper School facilities with a ribbon-cutting ceremony last Thursday. Attended by board members, teachers, staff, and local Chamber Ambassadors, this event signifies a major increase meant to assist children ranging in seventh through twelfth grade.

Located at 2407 Pisgah Road, Virtus Academy, a tuition-free K–12 public charter school serving Florence, Darlington, and nearby counties, boldly displayed the new facilities expected to improve the educational experience for its upper-grade students. Approved by The Charter Institute at Erskine, the institution has dedicated itself to promote intellectual excellence and human development.

The event started with a warm welcome from Virtus Academy’s Executive Director, Dr. Carpenter, who expressed excitement about the school’s expansion.

“It’s an exciting time for Virtus Academy as it now has all the facilities space it will need for the next several years,” Dr. Carpenter said. This expansion will support the academy’s mission to foster academic excellence and personal growth for its students.
