On Thursday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis confirmed that the state of Florida is sending 1,000 National and State Guard troops to Texas to help Gov. Greg Abbott secure the border. DeSantis’ decision seems to be the biggest help for Texas recently, after Republican-led states last year sent their own troops into the Lone Star State. South Carolina, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Virginia, and West Virginia are among the states that have already sent troops to Texas in recent years.
More than two dozen Republican governors openly support Texas in securing the border
Last week, South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster and 24 other fellow Republican governors released a joint statement in support of Texas’ constitutional right to self-defense in response to the Biden Administration’s continued attacks on their border security effort:
“President Biden and his Administration have left Americans and our country completely vulnerable to unprecedented illegal immigration pouring across the Southern border. Instead of upholding the rule of law and securing the border, the Biden Administration has attacked and sued Texas for stepping up to protect American citizens from historic levels of illegal immigrants, deadly drugs like fentanyl, and terrorists entering our country,” the statement read.
“We stand in solidarity with our fellow Governor, Greg Abbott, and the State of Texas in utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border. We do it in part because the Biden Administration is refusing to enforce immigration laws already on the books and is illegally allowing mass parole across America of migrants who entered our country illegally,” governors added.
Elon Musk claims Biden admin strategy has political background
While America faces one of the worst migrant crises, millions of Americans, both Republicans and Democrats, question Biden and White House immigration policies. And Elon Musk on Friday tried to answer this question on behalf of many, exposing the truth behind Biden’s immigration policy. He openly attacks the federal government, claiming that Joe Biden is trying to “get as many illegals in the country as possible” so he can create a “one-party state.”
Reacting to an AP report which said Biden would “prioritize legal status for millions of immigrants,” Musk wrote:
Biden’s strategy is very simple:
- Get as many illegals in the country as possible.
- Legalize them to create a permanent majority – a one-party state.
That is why they are encouraging so much illegal immigration. Simple, yet effective.
He added, “Here is the full text of the bill. It sounds so reasonable at first, just like ‘The Committee of Public Safety’ actually meant ‘The Cutting Off Heads Committee’ in revolutionary France.”

Musk, who in multiple occasions publicly revealed that he voted for Biden and supported his administration in 2020, further attacked Biden admin saying that current government strategy “explains why there are so few deportations, as every deportation is a lost vote.”
This explains why there are so few deportations, as every deportation is a lost vote.
As happened this week, you can literally assault police officers in broad daylight in New York, be released with no bail, give everyone the finger and *still* not be deported!!
Outrageous. https://t.co/8ruJex9iU7

Deportations in 2023 nearly doubled the numbers of the year prior under Biden, according to the Washington Post.
However, while more than 142,000 people were deported in 2023, the Biden administration has deported less migrants year-on-year than the Trump administration.
