Florence’s Downtown Christmas Magic to sparkle through the season following annual tree lighting event on Dec. 6

Florence, South Carolina – The holiday season in Florence is about to shine brightly as the 31st Annual City-County Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, December 6, 2024. Organized by the Florence city and county, the beloved event will take place at 5:30 PM in the Andrew H. Griffin Plaza at 146 S. Dargan Street, near Wholly Smokin’ Restaurant.

This long-standing celebration of the holiday season has grown to be the pillar of Florence’s Christmas celebrations, bringing the people together. The lighting of the amazing Christmas tree, which stands for harmony and delight for the county and city both, will surely be the highlight of the evening.

Tuba Christmas will provide a musical touch to this year’s celebration and fill the air with warm, brass harmonies capturing the joy of the holidays. This performance will captivate music enthusiasts of all ages.

Still, the buzz never stops. Following the tree lighting, guests can fully enjoy the beautiful environment of Downtown Christmas Magic, therefore preserving the holiday cheer till 9:00 PM. Seasonal treats can be found on the streets, which will make the night ideal for friends and family making lifelong memories.

The Holiday Music & Light Show, sponsored by Duke Energy, will enthrall guests nightly from December 6 through December 31, so enhancing the beauty of the holiday season. With weather allowing, running from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, the performance will offer a magnificent fusion of music and lights capturing the magic of the holidays.
