Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Florence celebrates grand reopening after renovations

Florence, South Carolina (Press release) – On Wednesday, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Florence, located at 900 East Cheves Street, hosted a grand reopening celebration to unveil new renovations. Designed with patients’ needs in mind, enhancements include additional private patient rooms (now offering 38 private rooms and 20 semi-private rooms), an in-house dialysis suite and ADA upgrades throughout the hospital. The hospital also features a spacious therapy gym featuring advanced rehabilitation technologies, an activities of daily living suite, therapy courtyard, dining room, in-house pharmacy and dayroom areas.

“For nearly 40 years, Encompass Health of Florence has helped patients gain greater confidence and independence to return to the people and activities they love most, said John Jones, CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Florence. “This renovation is a testament to our commitment of continuing to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to our patients and the community of Florence.”

Encompass Health’s first hospital, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Florence opened to patients in 1985. Since that time, the hospital has provided essential rehabilitative services to nearly 30,000 patients in the Florence community recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions regain function and independence.
