The office of the lawyer for the US in the middle part of Pennsylvania shared that Thomas Waters, 37 years old from Florence, South Carolina, was found guilty by a jury for attacking three federal officers resulting with body injuries.

According to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam, Waters, who was in the federal prison in Canaan, Waymart, Wayne County, assaulted three federal corrections officers which resulted in bodily injury.

At the trial, evidence showed that on January 18, 2023, Waters hit a guard in the head multiple times with his hands while being talked to about breaking a rule. Waters took the guard’s baton and hit him in the head with it.

The guard got cuts and bruises on his head and face, and a big bruise on his shoulder. When other guards came to help, Waters bit two of them leaving them with injuries too.
