Florence, South Carolina – For many small business owners, growth brings more than new customers and bigger opportunities. It also brings new pressure.
The moment a business begins adding employees, delegating responsibilities and trying to keep everyone moving in the same direction, leadership becomes just as important as the product or service being offered.

That challenge is at the center of an upcoming Leadership Training Lunch & Learn event in Florence, a workshop built to help local employers strengthen their leadership skills while supporting workforce success.
The session is designed for business owners and emerging leaders who want practical guidance they can use right away, without getting lost in complicated management language or technical HR material.

Organizers say the workshop will focus on a simple idea: growing a business starts with growing as a leader. Instead of theory-heavy instruction, participants will explore everyday leadership concepts that can make a real difference inside a workplace.
The discussion will center on how leaders can build trust with employees, set clear expectations, coach team members more effectively and deal with problems early before they become larger setbacks.
The event will also look at communication during stressful or busy periods, teamwork as organizations expand and the kinds of practical decisions that support steady, sustainable growth.
Attendees are expected to leave with stronger confidence in their ability to lead others and a better understanding of how leadership directly affects business performance.

The session is aimed at small business owners preparing to hire, employers who have recently added staff, entrepreneurs navigating growth-related challenges and leaders who are responsible for supervising or influencing others. Local employers searching for useful leadership development tools may also find the event valuable.
The Lunch & Learn will be led by Craig Butler, founder of The Workforce Butler, an HR and workforce development firm that works with organizations across the country on leadership assessment, coaching, workforce strategy and organizational effectiveness. His work centers on improving team alignment, strengthening performance and helping organizations prepare for growth.
The in-person event will last 1 hour and 15 minutes and will be held at the University Place Building, 142 North Dargan Street, Florence, SC 29506. Organizers also noted that all attendees will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gas card.
