Mentorship-focused Camp Carraway offers powerful learning experience for young boys from Florence County

Florence, South Carolina – Camp Carraway, which will be held on July 21–22, 2025, will be a strong and uplifting experience for young boys from across the area. The camp is a secure, structured place for boys aged 11 to 14 to learn, connect, and build important life skills. It is based on mentorship and growth.

The program used to be called Camp F.E.V.E.R., but it was renamed to honor Sergeant Terrence Carraway, a dedicated public servant whose dedication to mentoring young people still inspires others. This program, which strives to keep young men away from bad influences and toward strong, purposeful futures, is a lasting tribute to him.

Camp Carraway is more than just a summer camp; it’s a two-day, overnight trip that helps young people grow as individuals. Campers do activities that are meant to boost their self-esteem, motivate them to stay in school, and help them respect themselves and others more. They do these activities with the help of trustworthy mentors and community leaders.

The environment is designed to be both demanding and helpful, which helps participants deal with the stressors of modern life. Each aspect of the program is focused on helping people grow and become leaders. This could be through group discussions, team-building activities, or one-on-one mentoring.

Camp Carraway is more than just a break from school for kids; it’s a chance for them to learn more about themselves and who they can become.
