Columbia, South Carolina – The City of Columbia has officially opened the door for sponsors to join its 2025 Mayor’s Walk Against Domestic Violence. This is an annual event that raises awareness and shows support for people who have been victims of domestic abuse. The walk, which will take place in Page Ellington Park on October 25 from 9 A.M to 12 P.M., will bring together people from the neighborhood, local groups, and activists to stand together against violence in the home.
City authorities are now in the next planning phase and are asking businesses, NGOs, and people to help by becoming event sponsors. The city has four tiers of sponsorship, each with its own perks, so a lot of people can get engaged.
The “Champion Sponsor” level, which costs $500, is the highest level and offers the greatest attention. This includes having your logo on the official event T-shirt, being prominently displayed on promotional materials, and receiving a framed certificate of appreciation during the event. These sponsors will also get a digital badge to show their support online, a shout-out on social media, and 15 tickets to the event.
The “Advocate Sponsor” level, which costs $200, gives exposure through printed signs, event websites, and social media. One can also get six event tickets and a digital supporter credential. The “Community Supporter” level, which costs $100, contains comparable recognition but on a smaller scale and comes with three tickets to the event.
The “Proud Supporter” level costs $50 and allows individuals or small organizations a simple but meaningful way to help, such as getting one event ticket and a digital badge to show their support for the cause.
All donations will go to Sistercare, a local group that helps survivors of domestic violence by giving them shelter and assistance. The city wants to make sure that the money raised from sponsorships goes directly to the people who need it most by linking them directly to this foundation.
Besides the walk itself, people may expect booths from exhibitors and guest speakers talking about how important it is to help victims through intervention, education, and continuous support. The event is both a gathering of people from the community and a call to action.

City officials are urging potential sponsors to respond quickly, especially those who want their logos on T-shirts and other promotional items, because there are deadlines for submissions. You can pay with cash or a check.
