Florence, South Carolina – To commemorate Earth Day, the City of Florence has teamed up with Duke Energy, Keep Florence Beautiful, Naturally Outdoors, and the South Carolina Forestry Commission to organize a Native Tree Giveaway event. Set for April 22nd, this project emphasizes a shared dedication to environmental commitment and community involvement.
From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the event will be held on the lovely back lawn of Naturally Outdoors at 2519 W. Palmetto Street. This site is amazing for its dedication to encouraging outdoor activities and appreciation of nature, thus it would be ideal background for an event focused on planting and sustainability.
Early visitors will be rewarded with their pick of native trees under the giveaway’s first-come, first-served basis. These trees not only fit the local climate but also help the environment by supporting local wildlife and offering natural beauty.
Experts from the South Carolina Forestry Commission will be on hand to offer valuable insights into the various species of trees available. They will also advise on proper tree care and planting strategies.
