Two Florence County teenagers face charges following a December shooting

Florence County, South Carolina – In Florence County, a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old are in trouble with the law for reportedly shooting at two other teens from their car in December, injuring one.

Reginald Shamar Crouch, 19, from Hemingway, was taken into custody by Florence County officers last Wednesday. He faces two charges of two counts of attempted murder and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Jordan Markell Burgess, 17, from Johnsonville, also got arrested for the same incident. He is charged with two counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

On Dec. 20, the incident happened at North Hampton Avenue and Broadway Street in Johnsonville. One of the teens the suspect shot at got hit in the foot and suffered injuries. The other victim remained unharmed.

According to the Florence County authorities, the reason Crouch is charged with involving a minor is that he let a young person be in the car during the shooting.
