The Francis Marion University volleyball team hosted its annual “Dig Pink” match on Oct. 12, the Patriots welcomed their local-rival and Peach Belt Conference foe UNC Pembroke to the Smith University Center.

The annual “Dig Pink” match benefits the Side-Out Foundation. Individuals that donated $15 or more at the match received a free t-shirt. Fans were encouraged to wear pink while rooting on their Patriots

. Francis Marion University swept local-rival UNC Pembroke in three straight sets 25-18, 25-17, 25-20 in Peach Belt Conference volleyball action on October 12.

With the victory, Francis Marion surpasses its win total from last season. It is the fifth straight time the Patriots have beaten the Braves.
