Ronald Little

Funeral services for Ronald G. Little of Cheraw, South Carolina who died, Friday, April 12, will be held on Friday, April 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Cheraw. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home of Cheraw.

Ronald G. Little was born on October 11, 1951, in Cheraw, South Carolina. He was raised by his parents in a Christian home. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and served from childhood to young adulthood as an active member of Mount Hebron A.M.E. Zion Church.

Ronald graduated from Long High School where he was an athlete and a member of the class of 1969. He later moved to Washington, DC, where he furthered his education completing an Associate’s Degree in Computer Technology. Upon returning to South Carolina, Ronald was employed in the computer services department at the South Carolina Budget and Control Board where he worked until retirement. While employed in Columbia, he served as an active member of Jones Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church.

Ronald was a unique individual who had a propensity for various crafts and a knowledge of gadgetry. He used his skills to provide assistance to others who needed it. He loved music, a good cup of coffee, the New Orleans Saints, Turner Classic Movies (TCM); scrabble board games with family members, and the television show, Jeopardy. Despite his disability, Ronald was able to maneuver well and continued to persevere without complaining about his physical limitations, living life to the fullest. One of his post-retirement passions was his work at West Florence High School in Florence, SC, where he loyally assisted a special student for the entire school year.

Ronald served as a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Trustee's Ministry. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents James and Katie Little as well as a brother, James Little, Jr.

Cherishing his memories are his son, Jay Zachary (Jennifer) Little of Columbia; and daughter, Constance (Robert) Christian of McKenney, Texas; a twin brother Donald (Mary) Little of Sumter, SC; one sister Pamela (Bernard) McDaniel, of Florence, a brother, John (Melisa) Little of Cheraw; four grandchildren, Carli Christian of New York, New York; Julina Christian and Josiah Christian of McKenney, Texas; Lizan Little of Columbia, SC; one sister-in-law, Vivian Little of Charleston, SC; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and host of very dear friends.
