Winning artists of Once A Part Now Art
Smart Phone Repair in collaboration with the Florence Regional Arts Alliance announced the winners of its art contest at a reception held May 21 in the store. Artists were called to find new and creative purposes for discarded phone or tablet parts. Store customers were able to vote on their favorite out of the body of work which is now featured at Smart Phone repair. Prizes were provided by Smart Phone Repair.
First prize went to Minnemie Murphy for her work titled “Discarded Image.” She received an iPad Air for her artwork depicting a zebra made from broken phone parts. Second place went to Mike and Patz Fowle for their submission titled, “Contemporary Culture.” Lynda English placed third with her piece titled “#friendrequest.” In addition to prizes awarded to the winners, all participating artists received 20 Smart Phone Repair Bucks which can be used as an instore credit.
