Toss 'N' Taste this Saturday

A Toss ‘N’ Taste will be this Saturday, Oct. 17, beginning at 11 a.m., at Southern Hops. This is a Chili cook-off and official ACA Cornhole tournament to help raise awareness and help those who are fighting on the front lines against human trafficking. The event is being presented by One Church and proceeds will go to support the C.A.R.E. House of the Pee Dee.

The cornhole tournament is a registered American Cornhole Association tournament with a 32 team pool play format leading to a 16 team single elimination bracket. Winners of the tournament will receive a set of seamless hand crafted & hand painted cornhole boards along with a set of handmade duck canvas regulation bags.

Sign-up is first come, first serve ending on Wednesday, Oct. 14, and requires payment of a $50 per team to secure your spot in the tournament. This includes a Toss 'N' Taste event t-shirt for each team member, chili tasting tickets, three games guaranteed in pool play and a chance to win the grand prize cornhole boards. Sign-up for the chili cook-off requires a $50 fee per team.

This entry fee covers two Toss ‘N’ Taste t-shirts for the team, and five tickets for sampling other competitors' chili, along with a chance to win subcategories like People's Choice Best Chili, and with a chance to receive a new gas cooker and stock pot for the winner of the Best Overall Chili category.

There will be food and drinks available through Southern Hops, tickets available for chili tasting and people's choice voting, along with entertainment and raffles. Even if you don't plan to enter in the competitions, come have a great time, support the C.A.R.E House of the Pee Dee, and be a part of something that can help make a difference in our community.
