Timmonsville High Club raises funds for Heart Association
TIMMONSVILLE – The Whirlwinds’ Heart Club (WHC) of Timmonsville High School recently donated $700 to the American Heart Association. Under the leadership of founder Charlene McKnight, the WHC has donated $2,600 to the American Heart Association over the past four years because of contributions made by the district and community.
The club was founded in 2012 to promote scholarship, service, wellness, and social responsibility. Although heart health is at the forefront, the club promotes additional causes, including Sickle Cell Awareness Month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Florence Area Humane Society.
