McLeod Health & Fitness Center adds new equipment for members
The McLeod Health & Fitness Center has replaced the LifeFitness Strength Circuit (weight training machines) with the new LifeFitness Insignia Series, state of the art strength training equipment. New cardio machines have been installed, including LifeFitness Flexstrider with LCD touch screen technology, Octane’s Lateral X, Octane seated ellipticals and SCIFIT upper body ergometers/cycles.
LifeFitness Flexstrider offers internet connectivity plus eight virtual course trails to take exercisers all over the globe. The Flexstrider is a low impact elliptical style trainer that provides a variety of walking and running strides. The Octane Lateral X trainer has adjustable width stride patterns to exercise the outer and inner thighs.
The Octane Seated elliptical provides continuous movement of the upper and lower extremities while in a seated position, to meet the needs of the advanced exerciser and the mobility challenged exerciser. The SCIFIT upper body ergometers are wheelchair accessible and provide a great upper body workout for all fitness levels. All of the new machines are outfitted with Fitlinxx, an Interactive Computer Network.
In addition to displaying personal range of motion, Fitlinxx also records cardiovascular exercise minutes performed and amount of weight lifted on the strength machines. The McLeod Health & Fitness Center is the only gym in the area with Fitlinxx. “We are excited to have this new equipment and are constantly striving to provide the most current fitness equipment that the fitness industry offers,” said Mark Sansbury, director of Fitness Services at McLeod Health and Fitness Center.
