HopeHealth adds new departments, expands patient services in Florence
Dr. Supen Patel of HopeHealth’s Rheumatology Department.

HopeHealth expanded its services with the addition of rheumatology, endocrinology, and diagnostic ultrasound in Florence.

Endocrinology

Dr. John Culleton sees patients at the Diabetes & Nutrition Institute inside the HopeHealth Medical Plaza in Florence and focuses on conditions that impact the endocrine system: glands that produce hormones directly into the bloodstream.

These hormones communicate with various areas of the body to control and coordinate functions including digestion, metabolism, respiration, reproduction, growth, sleep, and mood.

Rheumatology

Dr. Supen Patel leads the rheumatology team at HopeHealth on Palmetto Street with support from Melissa Felder, FNP. The HopeHealth rheumatology department serves patients suffering from autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis. Integrated with our primary care and specialty services, our rheumatology team also sees patients with musculoskeletal disorders that include shoulder, hip, and knee problems.

Diagnostic Ultrasound

The introduction of diagnostic ultrasound at the HopeHealth Medical Plaza in Florence adds another tool for primary care and specialty care providers to better serve patients in the Pee Dee. A non-invasive and painless procedure that uses sound waves instead of radiation to produce diagnostic images, our state-of-the-art ultrasound technologies allow for real-time examination of internal structures such as the kidneys, gallbladder, and liver, and provides for more accurate early detection of cardiovascular diseases and more.
