FRAA welcomes student intern
The Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) introduces FMU student Rebecca Cross to their internship program for the spring 2016 semester. Cross is a double major in mass communication and Spanish and wants to work in the field of public relations after graduation. She is interested in the non-profit sector, arts and community involvement.
The purpose of the FRAA Internship Program is to provide a learning experience that will bridge academia and the professional world. Emphasis is placed on offering interns a variety of experiences that will provide valuable perspectives regarding the inner workings of an arts alliance/arts council and a successful business environment.
Some operations that Cross will assist with include adding events to the FRAA arts calendar, writing press releases and managing social media. FRAA Executive Director Uschi Jeffcoat will oversee the internship. To learn more about the Florence Regional Arts Alliance and its mission, visit their website at www. florenceartsalliance.org.
