Florence Evening Lions sponsor new Leo Club at South Florence High
A new Leo club came to Florence on April 12 when 27 charter members celebrated the organization of their new South Florence High School Leo Club at South Florence High School at 6 p.m. The Florence Evening Lions Club sponsored the new club for young people, ages 14 through 17. The objective of Leo clubs is to provide the youth of the world with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national and international community.
Leo president Mikayla Bunch has been elected to serve as the first president of the new club, and Denise Wiggins will serve as the first club secretary. The South Florence High School Leo Club plans to become involved with several humanitarian service projects in the local community. “We are excited to give back to our community. Through this important work, we plan to make a difference in our community,” said Mikayla.
