Florence Athletic Hall of Fame accepting applications
Applications for the 2016 Class of the Florence Athletic Hall of Fame can be picked up at one of the following locations: Florence School District 1 Administrative Offices at 319 S. Dargan Street All Star Sports at 1521 W. Second Loop Rd. City of Florence Parks & Recreation Department Administrative Offices at 513 Barnes Street. Nominations must be postmarked by July 31, 2015. The Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will be held at the Florence Civic Center on Saturday, January 16, 2016.

Definitions of eligible Inductees: Any Florence graduate, living or deceased, who received a varsity letter from a Florence High School Athletic Department shall be eligible for election to the Hall of Fame as an inductee five years after graduation from high school.
The requirement of graduation from a Florence High School may be waived under circumstances by a majority vote of the Hall of Fame Board of Directors. Any individual, living or deceased, who has made a significant contribution to a Florence high school’s athletic programs shall be eligible for election to the Hall of Fame as an inductee.
Inductees include coaches, trainers and other individuals who are not necessarily eligible as an athlete. Any prospective inductee shall not become eligible until one year from his or her retirement or from the last date that he or she held any position within the Florence School system, whichever is later.
