City Center Market to host Jam Fest
The City Center Farmers Market will play host to Jam Fest this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Jam Fest is a family friendly celebration of all things jam! Patrons will have an opportunity to taste jams, participate in indigo dying with Florence County Museum, bath bomb painting with Bubble by Bridget, a jam contest open to the public, Seminar craft brews, and live music.
Following is a schedule of events: 9 a.m. - Jess Willis. A storyteller extraordinaire, Jess tells tales tall and small to people of all ages and shares the magic of puppets through parades and workshops.
10 a.m. - Dawn Larson. A storyteller/singer-songwriter, Dawn grew up in the Ozarks amid lots of mountain music, arts, storytelling, beautiful hills and rivers. She taught herself to play guitar at 13. She’s proud to play Americana music, which is full of “death and dyin,” an integral part of the human condition. 11 a.m. - Johnny Tanner. Johnny is a man of many talents - songsmith, guitar player, woodworker, and visual artist. He is a Chris Austin, MerleFest award-winning songwriter with four albums of original work-’Right About Now’, ‘Wake up John’, ‘The Main Thing’, and ‘Warm Place in the Sun’.
12 noon - Wyatt Garey. Born in Charleston Wyatt’s dad, Ranny Garey, taught him what music means, what it means to be an artist. Playing cowboy songs for his daycare were the first shows they played together and he’s been performing ever since.
1 p.m. – Hounds and Rabbits – This group offers music for your soul, saturated in southern bliss and drinkable til the morning sun shines.
The City Center Farmers Market is located at 200 Sanborn St. in Downtown Florence.
