SCDOT Public meeting in Florence on Tuesday, Feb. 13
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public information meeting in Florence on Tuesday, Feb. 13, concerning the proposed Bentree Lane intersection improvements project.
The meeting will be from 5p.m. to 7 p.m., in the West Florence High School “Commons” 221 N. Beltline Dr., Florence. The meeting will have a drop-in format, with displays for viewing. Project information, including meeting materials and comment forms will also be available on the project website here: http://arcg.is/1WLLfD and on SCDOT’s website (http://www.scdot.org, click on Public Involvement Portal and then Public Comment to find upcoming meetings).
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information and solicit feedback from area residents concerning the proposed intersection improvements at Bentree Lane at David McLeod Blvd and West Palmetto Street. Another purpose of the meeting will be to gather information from the public, or any interested organization, on historic or cultural resources in the area. Engineering, Right-of-way, and Environmental personnel from SCDOT and their representatives will be available to answer questions.
This intersection improvement project is being funded through the Florence County Transportation Committee (CTC) and the City of Florence.
