Pandolfi to perform here

Live@Central! will continue its exciting 13th season on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 6:30 p.m. with sensational virtuoso pianist Thomas Pandolfi. With each passing season, Pandolfi is becoming more sought after by audiences worldwide, and showered with superlatives by critics for his passionate artistry. Pandolfi earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees as a scholarship student at Juilliard School in New York City.

His repertory for this exciting evening will include a rhapsody on the theme of West Side Story in honor of Leonard Bernstein’s 100th birthday, and also a selection of Frederic Chopin favorites. For this special concert, Pandolfi will be playing the acclaimed Schimmel piano in the historic 1913 sanctuary of Central United Methodist Church.

“Pandolphi is in demand to perform worldwide and Live@Central! and Florence are indeed fortunate to have a pianist of his stature share his incredible talent with us,” states Murray Jordan, organizer of Live@Central! programs. There will be an extensive selection of CDs available for purchase at the event.

Central United Methodist Church is located on the corner of Cheves and Irby streets in downtown Florence. This event and all Live@Central! programs are open to the public and free of charge. For additional information, call the church office at 843-662-3218.
