NAACP to hold Annual Freedom Fund Dinner
The Florence Branch of the NAACP invites the community to support its Annual Freedom Fund Dinner. The dinner will be held on Friday, April 12, at 7 p.m. The location is New Ebenezer Baptist Church (Strive Hard Educational, Recreational and Enrichment Center) located 307 Ravenel St., Florence. This year’s theme is “Defeat Hate: Vote”.
The guest speaker for this year’s dinner is Mr. Leon W. Russell, Chairman, NAACP Board of Directors. He was elected chairman of the NAACP at its annual Board of Directors meeting on February 18, 2017. He has proudly served as a member of the NAACP Board of Directors for over 27 years. Rev., Dr. Alphonso Porter, pastor of Majority Baptist Church is the Honorary Chairman for this year’s dinner. The musical entertainment will be provided by The Saxxy Keyz Band.
Tickets are $50 per person, and may be purchased from the NAACP office or from local members.
