Jebaily joins S.C. Humanities Board of Directors
South Carolina Humanities recently welcomed seven new members to the Board of Directors: Richard Brown, Eric Crawford of Conway, Tom Crosby of Columbia, George D. Jebaily of Florence, Lisa Kerr of Charleston, Dollie Newhouse of Irmo, and Jennifer Thomas of Greenville. The Board of Directors of S.C. Humanities consists of volunteer academic and public members. Board members initiate and develop projects, seek to make the humanities accessible statewide, and take active roles in fundraising.
Jebaily is the lead attorney for the Personal Injury Team at Jebaily Law Firm. Since 2014, he has served as an at–large member of Florence City Council. He also helped found the Florence Downtown Development Corporation, where he served as Chairman of the FDDC Board of Directors from 2002 to 2009. In addition to his work with Downtown Florence redevelopment, George has spent the greater part of his adult life serving on many different boards and commissions. He currently serves as a board member of the S.C. Arts Alliance, a state-wide organization in support of the S.C. Arts Commission. George resides in Florence with his wife, Debbie, and they have two children: a daughter, Kayla, and a son, Kirk.
