House of Hope of the Pee Dee: Tebow coming to Florence Center
Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow will serve as the featured speaker for the House of Hope of the Pee Dee’s annual Evening of Hope fundraiser March 8 at the Florence Center. Tebow, an outspoken Christian, will talk about his passion for the Lord and for those in need.
The Evening of Hope is a special night for the House of Hope to reach out to the community, celebrate three decades and raise money that will benefit the homeless of Florence.
Because of COVID-19, tickets and sponsorships will be limited. All sponsor tables for the event have sold out but $25 general admission tickets are still available through Ticketmaster.
House of Hope and the Florence Center will be following all of the CDC, SC DHEC and local municipality guidelines for our event. Attendees should be prepared for short delays upon arrival at the entrances to the Florence Center. Masks are required for entry as well as any movement within the Center. Individuals will also be asked about their current health and temperatures will be taken before admission.
Tebow, who recently announced his retirement from professional baseball, created the Tim Tebow Foundation. The foundation was established in 2010 with the goal to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour. The foundation fulfills this mission every day by making dreams come true for children with life-threatening illnesses by building Timmy’s Playrooms in children’s hospitals.
The foundation also provides life-changing surgeries to children of the Philippines through the Tebow CURE Hospital.
Another program his foundation sponsors is Night to Shine, a nationwide prom and worldwide movement for people with special needs.
