Foundation recognizes F1S educators’efforts
The School Foundation recently recognized F1S administration, educators, faculty and staff for maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment and preparing our children for a positive future.
“F1S has done a remarkable job over the past year to provide a quality learning experience for our students through the COVID-19 pandemic,” the foundation stated in a press release. “As a thank you, the foundation is providing treats for each and every employee in the district. Additionally, a drawing will be held at each of the district’s facilities and the foundation will be awarding gift cards donated by and purchased from local businesses who have supported them over the years.”
“The School Foundation’s staff and board of directors felt it necessary to show the district employees how much they are appreciated during this difficult time,” said School Foundation Executive Director Debbie Hyler. “This is a time of uncertainty and F1S has proven they can adapt and still provide a positive and safe learning environment for our children. We are so proud of their efforts!”
The foundation’s staff and board of directors will make personal visits to each of the district’s facilities during the week and will assist principals with the drawings.
The School Foundation was founded in 2000, and they have funded $1,670,444.30 in grants to educators in Florence 1 Schools.
