FLORENCE AFTER FIVE KICKS OFF THE 2016 SEASON THIS FRIDAY
The 2016 season of Florence After Five in downtown Florence will take place this Friday, April 29, in the 100 block of South Dargan Street beginning at 5:30 and running until 8:30 p.m.
Ray Reich, Downtown Development Manager for the City of Florence says “to get the 2016 season kicked off in style, we have booked The Holiday Band, one of our most requested bands.
The Holiday Band has been performing for nearly 21 years. Based in North Carolina the group has played everywhere from The Lincoln Center in New York to The House Of Blues in Myrtle Beach to Mardi Gras and everyplace in between. For those who haven't seen the band in a while, the band has experienced a few changes over the last few years, and all their fans seem to agree that they are the strongest they have ever been. The band is standing tall with Mike Taylor (Vocals, Guitar & Keyboards), Bob Martin (Saxophone), Tim Taylor (Vocals, Bass Guitar), Ronnie Farrington (Vocals, Bass Guitar, Keys, Guitar), Wayne Moore (Drums, Vocals), Lucas Cook (Keys) and the band has recently added Chase Given (Vocals, Trumpet, Keys, Guitar) with Maurice Leggett running sound. This line-up provides the strongest and most diverse band that the Holiday Band has seen ever, and it shows in the faces that see the band play. They play a variety of music for all musical tastes and ages. Their song selection includes current hits, beach music favorites, classic rock, oldies and even country.
Florence After Five features local food vendors include Wholly Smokin Barbeque, Clay Pot Coffee Shop, 1031 Grill, Brooklyn South Deli and Rita’s Italian Ice. Beer, wine and soft drinks will also be available.
Admission is free, compliments of the Florence Downtown Development Corporation and corporate sponsors Crown Beverage, Victors Bistro, Carolina Hospital System and Carolina Bank.
