Member of Florence law firm joins American Bar Association
John H. Muench of the Florence law firm of Willcox, Buyck & Williams, was elected by the South Carolina Bar as one of its two delegates to the American Bar Association. He was sworn in at the recent meeting of the South Carolina Bar’s House of Delegates.
Muench will represent the South Carolina Bar by attending the American Bar Association’s national, semi-annual meetings. He has held numerous positions with the South Carolina Bar including Chairman of the Corporate Banking and Securities Law Section, the Tax Law Section as Chairman, and Chairman of the Senior Lawyers Division.
Muench is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a B.A. degree and the University of Louisville with his law degree. He received a Masters in Taxation from the University of Miami and served a clerkship with Judge Boyce F. Martin, J1'. on the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from 1979 to 1980. He focuses his law practice on mergers and acquisitions and tax law issues and is admitted to the Bars of South Carolina, Georgia and Kentucky and to the United States Tax Court.
