Wofford Students study aboard
SPARTANBURG – Study abroad is a major component of Wofford's commitment to shaping globally connected citizens. Opportunities range from travel/study Interim projects to a full-year at a university abroad. Students may choose from more than 200 programs and 59 countries. Co-curricular opportunities include service learning, internships and cultural excursions.
Area students studying abroad are: Joseph Christian Taylor Alexander, a member of the class of 2016, is studying abroad in Rennes, France. Alexander, who is from Timmonsville, is majoring in English. He is the son of Anthony Alexander. Charlee Maranda Sturkie, a member of the class of 2016, is studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain, Sturkie, who is from Florence is majoring in psychology. She is the daughter of Wayne Sturkie and Stephanie Sturkie.
Helen Elizabeth Lamm , a member of the class of 2017, is studying abroad in Kunming, China. Lamm, who is from Florence, is majoring in Chinese with a minor in history. She is the daughter of James and Beth Lamm Wofford College, established in 1854, is a four-year, residential liberal arts college located in Spartanburg.
