NASA Saturday in Pee Dee
A Deep Space Objects NASA Saturday free workshop will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, for families. It will be held 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Dooley Planetarium at Francis Marion University.
Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Deep Space Objects NASA Saturday program will introduce families to the various objects discovered beyond our solar system including extrasolar planets, clusters, supernova remnants, nebulae, and galaxies. NASA missions designed to observe and study these objects will be the focus of the presentation. Hands-on activities will include identifying galaxies.
Due to the nature of our activities, anyone arriving 10 minutes or more after the session start time will not be able to participate in the planetarium portion of the workshop.
