McLaurin receives $10,000 from Burlington Stores
Burlington Stores, Inc., through its partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, presented a $10,000 donation to McLaurin Elementary School in Florence One, in celebration of its new store in Florence.
Richard Tourtillotte, a representative from Burlington Stores, presented the check to McLaurin Elementary Principal Deborah Cribb during an assembly that took take place last week at the school.
A representative from AdoptAClassroom.org contacted school administrators and helped to secure the donation for McLaurin Elementary. The donation from Burlington provides $10,000, divided equally among the teachers, to purchase new supplies for each teacher’s classroom.
“On behalf of Florence One and McLaurin Elementary, I would like to thank Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org for adopting our entire school,” said Cribb. “Our teachers look forward to using the funds to enhance learning in our school and in their classrooms. We are thankful for the support we’ve received from Burlington and from AdoptAClassroom.org.”
Burlington, in partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, makes a donation to a local school in each grand opening market to celebrate a new store lociation. The Burlington store is located in Magnolia Mall.
AdoptAClassroom.org is a US-based nonprofit created to help teachers purchase supplies for their classrooms.
