ORANGEBURG – A member of the staff at an area independent school recently completed a workshop on conducting effective classroom teacher observations, according to Larry Watt, executive director of the South Carolina Independent School Association.

Dr. John Hester, Francis Marion University’s associate provost and a long-time member of the university faculty, is retiring June 30, after 35 years of service at FMU. Hester joined the faculty in 1980 as an assistant professor of psychology.
